Mono Monday - #MM492 - Middle

We've been on holiday in Belgium and the Netherlands for the last fortnight and the garden has exploded with insects and flowers including this cockchafer aka Maybug. Rik called me to have a look as it was flying and then climbing up the grass stems.It was amazing to see as it's a large insect and normally seen at nighttime.

It's only a phone photo as the lead for my camera is in our delayed luggage after our return flight from Amsterdam was cancelled early Saturday morning. We'd put our bags in the night before thinking it was sensible idea, not realising that we wouldn't have them for days. They're supposed to be on the next flight from Amsterdam tomorrow afternoon as long as easyJet doesn't cancel that one as well!
