First swarm of the season

At lunchtime today a few honeybees started to come into the house. This usually happens when there is a swarm somewhere near. I found this one on an apple tree in the garden. It is a huge swarm and does not appear to be from one of our hives. We collected it in a straw skep and will put it into an empty hive later. I'm sure there will be more beekeeping photos as we are on the list of local beekeepers who are willing to go out & collect swarms from peoples gardens
