the calm before the storm

our final exam was a presentation. these went on for 3 days, so we all finished at different times. my presentation was yesterday, but the last ones happened today.
this made today celebration day. the storm I referred to was not a meteorological one, but one of cocktails and later miscellaneous drinks placed in your hand with a 'just drink it' instruction.

I'm not much of a drinker and, when I do drink, it tends to just be a few. I was gravely unprepared for the cocktail storm, but it was terrific fun.

there was dancing - and a healthy dose of sentimentality
