Treasures on a rainy day
A rose washed by the rain and a Nankeen Night Heron
Couldn't decide so used them both.
A very rainy day (stats say the wettest in 2 & 1/2 years)
Nearly cancelled the day due to wetness and gloom but kicked myself in the butt and went to K1 Winery in Kuitpo (pronounced Kypo) Forest for H & M's birthday lunch. Well worth it for good friends and despite the rain, the view over the lake from the winery is very beautiful. The NNH was the icing on the cake.
For other SA bird blippers this is a spot worth visiting. Apparently over 30 species call this place home according to son-in-law of winemaker Geoff Hardy.
Good wines too!
