Vale Bob

Today we attended the funeral of good friend, legendary Rotarian and community contributor Bob. I blipped him last year the day he received his Order of Australia.
Bob was a qualified accountant but he branched off into retail, running a small chain of shoe shops on the North Shore of Sydney. Every spare moment for the final 70 years of his life was spent on active community service, the last 10 of which were in the Mountains near us after the death of his wife.
Back in Blackheath tonight with no more trips to the city planned so there might be time to get on the bike and head west.
