Drookit !

There are a lot of descriptive words in the Scottish language and this one describes these Clydesdales - it means soaked and in Scotland that is often by rain which had been coming down steadily for much of the day.

These mares were looking a bit miserable but I watched as a group of foals in the distance were frisking about like lambs which was quite amusing with their gangly long legs.

We were desperately needing rain and it has come but now I suspect some of the farmers could do with it easing off a bit to get hay and silage made.
