CHICKLET

My neighbor has a HUMMINGBIRD NEST
in her side yard, about 2 feet (61centimeter)
off the ground, in the crook of a succulent.

There were 2 chicklets in the nest, but
the larger has fledged. What you see in my Blip is the TINY nest-mate, alertly waiting for its parent.

We were all worried about this little peanut, because it fell out of the nest. My friend
put it back & has worried all day about it. She asked me to check on it.

All is well. It will soon fledge & join the raucous tribe of HUMMINGBIRDS that flock to her feeders.
