Forty-nine Days
To Woy Woy, an hour and a half north by train, for lunch with friends. Towards the end I slipped away to walk to the Spike Milligan Bridge (extra, in the distance), named for the town’s most famous retiree. He described the place as “the world’s only above-ground cemetery”. The ghosts in the Bayview Brasserie were so noisy - or we were collectively so deaf - we retreated to a table in the beer garden.
