Beautiful Lyme Park

We spent a beautiful day exploring Lyme Park!
I can't believe I have never been! Maybe it is because we have Tatton and Dunham park on our doorstep as well as Arley Hall!

So today we did what we have been meaning to do for years: we joined the Nationsl Trust. It makes perfect sense and I am not sure why we have been putting it off. Maybe because its admitting we are getting on a bit....or that we are geeks?? Who knows??! It makes financial sense and we get to see beautiful places...

Off out tonight with son#1 and girl friend to the comedy store in Manchester- that's a hip and trendy thing to do, right? Dining there and seeing 4 stand ups - I don't know who, but son and husband have heard of them. Should be a good night!!
