Sunbathing Midland Painted Turtle

This is a fine example of a Midland Painted Turtle with is indigenous to and common in southern Ontario. They love marshes like McKenzie Marsh here in Aurora - a favourite blipping site for me and for Linda who got a fantastic shot of a female red-winged blackbird with two dragonflies in its bill.
