Newly rolled field

We passed this field earlier when the farmer was out with the roller. I didn't know until we moved here that fields ended to be rolled. Anyway, the resulting effect is extremely pleasing.

New neighbours have just moved in and there were 5 Clydesdale horses in the field, so I'm guessing good subjects for future photos.

Off to prepare for dinner guests. Much nonsense will be spoken, much food will be eaten, much wine will be drunk, and much laughter will be heard.
