Pine stool twinning

This stool has a history.
My father went to university for the first time at age 52. He studied Sociology and Social Anthropology, gaining a First Class Pass in both subjects

He declined the scholarship offered to study further and became a Social Worker, some voluntary work in a very deprived area, and some paid work for a mental health organisation.

His work involved visiting a local psychiatric hospital, known as Fort England.

Here was also very involved with the Occupational Therapy division in which patients learned to make items such as this pine stool. And here we have it some 50 years later.

Coincidently, my cousin analogconvert13, who knew my father well, also has a product from the OT department and we decided to publish both photographs today!
