Happy families

At this time of year I like to watch the swans and ducks and all their babies swimming up and down the river near our house. The duckling and cygnets are all getting big now.

This family grouping of black aphids is not quite so much to my liking but they're only drinking from a flower that was already finished so I think I'll let them be. Plus, if the sparrows or ladybirds find them then they'll be very happy too.

Had a dull and long appointment this afternoon, but with a much-appreciated D on hand. Sadly the sun has hidden behind the clouds now, or I'd be out in the garden while H is off kayaking with her friends.
