Past their Best.

Went over to Carol's (blipper - carolbutterfly) with another camera club friend. A most enjoyable time was had sat in her beautiful garden, eating homemade cake and drinking tea.

Before we settled down, we had a little walk to the picturesque parish church. I've done a Google search about it. It's a Grade 1 listed parish church, it's masonry was largely built in the 8th - 11th centuries during the Anglo-Saxon period, making it one of the oldest surviving churches in England. Pretty impressive.

I was rather taken with these flowers, past their best, but somehow looking just right against the rough walls. Extra is a collage showing more of the church.
