Splishing and a splashing

I woke at 530 this Morning. The sun had already risen and decided the day was not for it and let the clouds take over

I took my cold damp ass back to bed and pressed it into Himself who generously turned round and spooned me to warm me up

We woke again about 830 and got up for coffee and a look at the weather

We had much debate about body board weather or sailing weather. We did have to go and look for sea eagles.

We are sailing an electric boat this year. So in addition to the general danger associated with letting the three of us loose at sea; we have added jeopardy. Are we going to make it back?

We set off north. There was a brisk south westerly , and for the first fifteen minutes it was relatively gentle and lovely.

Then we past the end of the island and she caught us…. Luckily we were heading north east so she was behind us and once we turned we were
Blowing along nicely

Rather amazingly we saw the first sea eagle exactly where we spotted one last year. We sailed on up a bit and stopped to the far side of the pass to allow for drifting in the wind. We cast our nets but nothing

Fish don’t like strawberry laces

As we turned back we spotted another two having a Dance in the sky above the cliff. Another photo stop.

As we ended the pass the wind hit us face on we were riding into the waves and getting soaked with every bounce

We remembered back to last year when the same tilting happened. At the end of the pass the weather and the wind did too - we were buffered about all over the place Tooli lost her hat … we caught it again (me hanging on to her knickers to keep her on board)

Today was a breeze compared to that …. But we did get home at 38% left. Which was pretty cool

Tomato soup and local home made bread to warm us up and the Tooli was out on the board

She wanted to go close to the fish farm to see how big the trout are. They are BIG. Mr seal was watching her from the side. We were hoping he would approach but he never did.

She had a shower to warm up from that and the. She and I took a glass of wine to the pier and we fished for crabs. They’ve been a bit spoilt - they have been having M&S honey mustard sausages but today we were on to Morrison cocktail (not sure they are technically meat )

We lay there for an hour and a half and talked nonsense and then we were joined by himself wjo had just prepared the curry

We also decided that last night we were too cold in bed. So we took a hike up the hill and chopped a branch of a tree (I say’we’ but you know it was Himself).

So now. Wood burner is burning. Marshmallows have been toasted , books are being read. It’s amazing to thing we have alternatively been sunburnt and frozen

That’s Scotland for you…. And why we fly to
Greece
