Mr and Mrs Goldfinch came for a visit this afternoon. I was happy to get both of them in the same photo.
We worked this morning and finished a job despite getting wet again today. We started the job yesterday morning, and managed to get the area cleared off before the rain started. We had just started spreading the soil when the skies opened and the thunder and lightning started. We don't work in those conditions. Went back again this morning and I had told everyone that the job had to be finished by Friday. Just after we got there the rain started again. No thunder this time. There will be more work to do on the property. Possibly some this fall and more next spring.
Tomorrow we will finish planting at another job and spread the mulch, and of course, there is more rain in the forecast.
I need to invest in another pair or rain pants, but when they make them, they think that everyone has long legs, they don't seem to make them in petite sizes.
