Dic Evans and Kiwi.

I went back up to Anglesey today leaving the better weather on the mainland! My feet are a bit sore after yesterday's exertions but me and O still managed a short wander along the coastal path in Moelfre after tea. It's a walk that I've done many dozens of times since I was little and I always enjoy it as there is so much of interest along the way.

If you do a search on Moelfre what you find out is the link that the village has with the RNLI. The statue is of Dic Evans, one of the most highly decorated lifeboatmen and a former cox. In an age when the term 'hero' is offered freely, his story is one that genuinely warrants the epithet. Behind him is Kiwi, the new Tamar class lifeboat that was delivered earlier this year.
