Barley, nearly ready for the Mow
We managed a short walk out into the countryside today - and when I say we I meant I mostly managed and Janet simply walked. I had a decent enough sleep last night, thankfully. I stuck Radio Paradise on my headphones and whenever the pain roused me from sleep the music calmed and distracted me.
It began to rain while we were walking, and it was delicious to feel the warm wetness... again, a distraction. The landscape is so very different from the south of France and our month away has fast-forwarded everything. I can't believe it's post-solstice already and the fields almost look ready for an early harvest.
Disclosure: I've heavily edited the sky here.
I've blogged a gallery page of all the mini beasts I'd encountered in France this trip, and you can see them all here. Mostly you've seen them already, but they do make a decent spread all together. It turns out you can't play bass guitar with shingles up your arm. I expect you knew that already, didn't you.
