Coffee sack mulch

It wasn't big and clever to tell all the local gardeners I know how great coffee sacks are.

My local roastery (who gives them away) haven't had any for weeks but I've finally been able to pick up 10 on my way to the plot.

The slugs will be delighted to have a new hiding place but it'll keep the soil around my bean tunnel moist and weed-free all summer.
