Wisteria, why do you weep?

Sweet scented blossom,
Subtle shades of poignant mauve.
Why do you weep so?

I love Wisteria, it is so beautiful against warm brick walls. And yet it has a poignancy for me, although I'm not really sure why. It just makes me feel that way.

This wisteria is against the wall and round the porch of the residential home where my Dad is living. He is 92 and in failing health, which possibly another reason for the way I feel about this.
