Eels
Today Y came to Montreuil to work. If nothing else G&D's WiFi is a lot better than at Institut Henri Poincaré. The weather was much fresher, but still sunny, so it was very pleasant working in the conservatory. We both made good progress, and enjoyed a nice lunch at Café Salé. When Y left to meet up with a friend, she'd reached the point of getting results to think about, rather than just implement the means to do the experiments.
In the evening we met up in the centre of Paris for dinner with her ex. He's very cute and charming, so I can see why she fell for him. We ate in a Japanese restaurant that specialises in eels, and the food was very good. The restrictions on public transport meant that we couldn't hang about for long, and when I got off the metro at Mairie de Montreuil there was a peaceful protest outside the Mairie, with half-a-dozen police looking on from a short distance.
