Don't Like the Weather?

Wait 5 minutes...In a single day here, we can have smoke, rain, wind, sunshine, hot, and cold..It is hard to know what to put on in the morning..bathing suit, raincoat or parka! 

This morning it was cold - very cold - a wear-a-warm-jacket-cold! 11 degrees Celsius which was cold enough to create a mist over the water (main), something we usually see in the fall when a cold front moves in...Well, I guess one just moved in.. but wait...now there is smoke too? Drat...the air quality index is rising... must we do this smoke thing again? Aah, but by mid afternoon, the smoke cleared, and the sun came out! Time to shed those warm clothes, put up the umbrella on the dock and lounge and read for a while. But a cool breeze came up. Would be more comfortable to sit in the screened porch out of the wind...maybe with a light shirt over this t-shirt?...

So that's where I was...in the porch ...when my sister arrived by boat taxi to spend the next two weeks here at the cottage with her family. Lovely. She unpacked, we had a nice visit and then dinner out in the porch.. and then? Of course...The rains came. 

So, it  was a "weather sampler" kind of day.. A bit of everything for my last day here; tomorrow I head home...and oh yes...both rain and smoke are in the forecast... not just here, but back in the city too...
