In your face!

After four nights away at Skegness Butlins, our daughter drove home on her 40th birthday. We left this inside the door so that it would be the first thing she saw on their return. The children in particular loved it. Little Miss B carried the balloon around to find the best home for it. At one point the Young Master managed to hold its string in both hands and wiggle the balloon around as he watched the effect. 

The family were very impressed by the facilities at Butlins and the children loved all the entertainment. It was a good thing they'd opted for self-catering as poor Mr B wasn't well all week, so mainly kept to his bed. Much like me earlier in the year, he seems to be getting one feverish cold after another. 

So a muted birthday celebration, but young children are lively and entertaining enough in themselves. And it'll end up as Birthday Weekend, I'm sure.
