Jacob's preferred mode of transport

A very rare day without Jacob as he went on the train with his grandparents to North Berwick. They all had a lovely time and Jacob enjoyed watching boats, and running away from the waves on the beach.

Stephan and I weeded the whole veg patch in preparation for planting, visited the butcher, made a ragu, spent some time just hanging out, and drank copious amounts of coffee. A very productive and enjoyable day off from parental responsibilities (7 whole hours!). The longest amount of time I have ever been away from Jacob!

While Stephan ran Jacob's bath this evening, Jacob filled the back of his bike with his favourite toys and then climbed on, ready to take them to the bathroom. Although you can't see his hand in this photo, Jacob has stopped here to wave to Henny as he passes by her bed.
