Tui in deep discussion

I had some fun today with the birds! At one stage I counted 5 tui’s - in deep and loud discussion about something or other! And then there were about 6 bellbirds flitting around chasing each other. The waxeyes are a given! They are flocking here by the dozen. Why is this garden so popular? Well, it could be the sugar water or the apple on a stick! It is quite cold and icy at the moment and I think they enjoy the extra sustenance.
