Murky

Murky all day, low cloud on the hills, and drizzle on and off.

Got decidedly damp as I walked into Holmfirth to meet MrM for brunch with John and Marina at Beatties. My scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on toast was a a substantial meal, and kept me going until the evening.

Then a little shopping before MrM drove us home for what turned out to be a lazy afternoon. He'd started work at 5.00am, and I didn't manage much sleep last night.

Fish & chips this evening from yet another different chip shop, in MrM's quest to find the best one in the area. Thus far none of them has come anywhere near Carlo's in Alnwick! We ate them in the van with a view (or not!) over the moors. Back home for an hour's TV before yet another early night...
