A lot of steps

Todays main activity was a tour of St George’s castle, the highest point in old Lisbon. Well worth the visit and views and (for me at least) always good to see the Roman origin of the fortifications’ design. The climb up all the way to the top was tiring, while the descent along the highly polished cobblestone streets and pavements back to base was even more tricky. Steps are best on these steep slopes.
