The Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth

Number three in the series... the Spinnaker Tower, built as part of the centrepiece of the renaissance of Portsmouth Harbour Project and has become one of the south coast's most prominent landmark. The tower dramatically overlooks Portsmouth harbour, Gunwharf Quays, the historic dockyard and its neighbouring towns and suburbs including the Isle of Wight. The tower was Open in 2005 and is part of Gunwharf Quays.

Took the family and some friends from France there today for a walk around and a meal, was lovely to sit outside and eat, just nice chatting and people watching, such a brilliant place full of great shops and restaurants. The French were even impressed with HMS Victory... Made me smile.

My thought, architecture doesn't have to be old to be good and Gunwharf Quays and the Spinnaker Tower is proof of that.
