Field Scabious

The first Field Scabious coming into bloom in the garden. The Yellow Rattle and Meadow Buttercups have now gone to seed, but a succession of blue and mauve flowers is just beginning - Nettle-leaved Bellflower, Meadow Crane's-bill, Viper's-bugloss and Common Knapweed - the best sort of midsummer blues!
