Middle day of the year - 2nd July

Seal protection.  Baby between two grown ups.

We were going to head for Greymouth today but both Otira and the Lewis Passes are closed because of snow so we came up the East Coast instead.  Stopped to take photos at the seal colony - in the middle of a hail storm.  The hail didn't seem to worry the seals at all.
