Fyvie Castle

The weather today was very changeable. A downpour one minute, warm sunshine the next.

It was just starting to rain as we arrived at Fyvie Castle. We made it to the cafe just before the heavens opened. A warm bowl of soup seemed to be called for. and was much appreciated. We remained in the cafe until it stopped raining.

I decided I did not need to buy an umbrella in the shop, which had seemed a definite possibility. We headed to the walled garden. This was impeccable and we saw a huge variety of vegetables being grown as well as a nice floral display. The vegetables are presumable destined for use in the cafe.

We then ventured over to the lake. There are a lot of ducks in the lake as well as a few swans. However by this time the sky was clouding over again. We made it back to the car, and the heavens opened again as we left the castle.
