A Star Is Born

These wonderfully exuberant flowers appear just outside our front door every year. Being the complete horticultural ignoramus that I am I have no idea what they are called but I love the fact that they look like little exploding stars - oh hang that's the end of a star's life and not the beginning, so I've used a completely incorrect metaphor as a title!
I've just realised that of course this is yet another plant based blip - I think I might need to follow the 12 step programme of the PBBA (Plant Based Blippers Anonymous)!
