At the end of the meal
Another good meal in our favourite restaurant last night. The Amuse Bouche certainly amused, in fact we had two each, one was crab based, wonderful, the second (just for our table) an interesting miso based bread pudding, savoury, each piece about 35mm square, tiny. I will look it up in a few minutes, strange yet appealing.
The final temptation were these tiny fennel meringues, sat on a stone donated by a local artist who spends hours on the beach collecting stones, old rope, anything that takes her fancy. How clever to combine the art of nature and food. Perhaps you can see why this is a favourite place to eat, and less than two miles from here.
