Probably my favourite place in the Lake District- looking down over Derwentwater towards Borrowdale from Friars Crag.
We got on the boat on Derwentwater and got off at Hawes End for a fantastic walk along the banks. Then got another boat back up to Keswick. Later the walk down to Friars Crag.
The extra is from our walk. We first saw the beautifully sculptured hands almost 14 years ago when I was recovering from cancer, chemo and radiotherapy. I saw it then that I was sitting in the Lords hands, being cared for by him. Things don’t change and every time we visit this beautiful area we go to the sculpture for another photo. I still sit in the hands of the Lord.
