Slow Sunday, Shattered and Samarathon
I’ve had a very quiet weekend. I did very little on Saturday except some light housework and laundry.
Today, I started my July challenge - to walk or jog a marathon throughout July for The Samaritans.
I have opted to undertake paced walking throughout the month with the walking aids my specialist chronic pain physiotherapist gave me at my Pain Clinic appointment this week.
I have a fundraising target of £150 and have opted for any donations raised to go to the local branch of Samaritans. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
I did 1.75 miles this evening and took a few photos on my phone along the way. It was sunny and dry which was a blessing as the weather here has been very changeable to say the least. My feet are on fire but I feel it’s worth it if I can help people as I have lived experience of suicidal ideation.
Today’s Blip is of some broken glass on the pavement whilst out on my paced walk. Although I hate to see this as it’s dangerous for dogs and children as well as other pedestrians, I thought it looked strangely pretty in contrast with the leaves. Those fragments are as shattered as I feel!
I caught up with one of my best friends Rosie online today. We’re hoping to meet up this week. It’s going to be a busy one as I have numerous appointments.
I did some Duolingo German revision and more beginner Ukrainian this afternoon to chill.
Sore tonight but resting up before bed.
Here is the link to my Samaritans donation page if you would like to support me with if you can:
