Chester Cathedral
After a leisurely start this morning, Mr P and I said our goodbyes to Perry and set off on our second attempt to visit Chester. Lovely city. We explored the cathedral, the market and walked along the city walls. So far so good until we set off at about 3pm on what we thought would be a short journey back home. We didn’t reckon on the overturned tanker on the M6 which resulted in 20,000 litres of milk being spilt and the motorway being closed. Thankfully there don’t appear to have been any serious injuries from the incident but it took us about 7 hours to get back to Peebles!
No more sits for a while and even though Wales and Chester were lovely, I think in future we may restrict our sits to places a bit closer to home.
Please note that thechimp has already cracked the crying over spilt milk joke.
