Avignon

We went for a short trip to Avignon today. Wandered around the streets a little bit, went up to the Palace and had a quick look at the cathedral. There was a little boy there, trying to get a mime artist to move. I got a lovely shot of that but this one is perhaps a bit more French!

Had lunch at a pavement café in a little square close to the Palace, then came home. I could have stayed for a few more hours really, but I think my friends have been to Avignon so many times they've had enough of it!

There was a cycle race going on when we got back to Beaume de Venise but we did a little bit of shopping before coming home.

Went for a walk - the Mistral is blowing stronger every day, which is bringing the temperature down. We actually lit the fire tonight which is unheard of in Provence on June 1st.
