Ringlet

Not as windy as yesterday thank goodness. Bits of gardening got done and lots of puzzles and reading. Eventually I went out in the afternoon to Brigend garden centre to buy fat balls and sunflower seeds. Afterwards drove to Charlottetown gravel pit to see if there were any damselflies. The spot where there used to be lots was empty and two other hot spots were the same. I eventually found one or two distant blues but no emeralds or reds..There used to be dragonflies as well  but no longer. It's sad to see how few insects there are.  I was delighted to find a ringlet butterfly and on the way back to the car I found two more which was something. In the past I sometimes walked in a cloud of them.
