Goodnight and God Bless

It’s obviously been a difficult day, but there were some positives. When Anna dropped off the items we wanted to place in mam’s coffin, our lovely funeral director, Ben, produced a signed photograph from Ainsley Harriet (see extra’s). For those not ‘in the know’, Ainsley has lived with our mam for the last 6 years in the form of a cardboard cutout. Ainsley came to the funeral, and our lovely celebrant, John, was very taken with him. The big boys acted as pall bearers, and Noo read out a poem…..he also had his first pint (actually a half of very weak shandy).

We are now back in Sussex, but not quite home….

….and so life goes on.
