Del Dios Gorge on the San Deiguio River

Landon went to his mum’s this morning, so that’s the last I’ll see him until the end of the year.

Only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in a San Diego summer sun. Rather different when we were on another part of this trail last January. Today’s hike was another part of the Crest to Coast trail along the San Deiguio River.

From the trail we drove to Oceanside for their renowned fish and chips and they lived up to their reputation. The difference in the weather was marked. Inland, on the trail, the temperatures were in the 90s f and the coast under the marine layer it was in the low 70s.

This evening we watched a ball game were the San Diego Padres play the Anaheim Angels. Very entertaining with the Padres winning 10-3
