100 years old

Today was very busy and I was out at a meeting until after 10pm. I realised that I had no photo for Blip so this number plate pair from my garage wall collection has filled the gap. Prior to 1925 when the first number plates were officially distributed the country was split into many regions. Motorists were allocated a number and had to make their own plates or order from a small number of manufacturers. This pair comes from Ashburton County (ASH) and the number(2461) indicates1923. The hole in the top plate is for the crank handle. These plates look like a professionally manufactured pair.
