Uncertain

An american robin saw me at the last moment and flew in a beeline to a safe spot under a willow bush. It appeared to look quizzically back in my direction from the relative obscurity of the intervening vegetation.

I watched and waited to see whether I would be allowed a clearer view, but in the end decided I liked this shot best. I think an image which shows the animal in its environment like this illustrates the natural order and vulnerability they face.
