Journey Through Time

Bishop's weed

Common name bishop's weed; goutweed; snow on the mountain
Family apiaceae

I made the mistake of buying this years ago for our yard. We learned the hard way that this plant is quite attractive in a CONTAINER. Planting it in your yard is okay if you don't care that it spreads and spreads and spreads. Part of it's common name is "weed"...that should be a strong indication that this plant needs to be contained. It has pretty variegated leaves in shades of green and cream and puts out these pretty little flower heads. You have been warned.

A beautiful day in the Pacific NW. Astounded at the damage that Oklahoma and other areas have taken such a beating from the tornadoes.

My aunt and David are over and we just had dinner. I gotta say, those cookies I made yesterday are really, really, really good. They are not particularly good for you as the frosting is...well...pure fat, which is what frosting is, after all. But, yummmmmm. I had to try them. Now I have. Put it in the "file" for use at another time. After the arteries have cleared.

Gotta go. I'm behind. I always get behind on the weekends. Catch ya later.
