A Walk on the Flats

When the tide goes out on the bay side of the Cape, people claim they can walk out on the sand, referred to in this town as the Brewster Flats, for miles.  I don't know how far it actually is, but I did it many times with my parents as a child, and it is a favorite activity for tourists and residents of all ages.
