Bookclub event
As well as visiting the market and going to my art group, I had an online Bookclub meeting this evening. We had been reading The Lady and the Unicorn by Tracy Chevalier. There weren’t many people attending, and we had a variety of views. I quite liked it, but one of our members thought it was closer to a Mills and Boon novel than mainstream fiction. It also became apparent that the audio version was read in a way to highlight its funny parts, which contributed to me liking it. It was a story woven around an historic tapestry, with the author imagining the backstory. I thought it was quite cleverly done
