Bonus Bird

I think I'm finally seeing an end to the major house cleaning and reorganisation ahead of the arrival of our guests from Czechia tomorrow.  Just the bathroom floor to do and the safety locks on cupboard doors to activate!  Euan never bothered with cupboards but little Rozalie is an unknown quantity!

Becky sent us a picture of Euan being sad today.  He went to visit what will be his new nursery and didn't want to leave so he sat on a bench to be sad for a while!  Bodes well for starting later in the year.

It's been a cloudy old day but as seems to be the case recently, the sky brightened towards the end of the afternoon and into the evening.  The clouds on the horizon were looking quite spectacular.

I'm re reading a crime series based in China.  The lead character daily gets his snack from an old lady street seller and she sets him a riddle.  Even though I have read it before I can't remember the answer so here it is for you to puzzle over:
Three men go to a hotel to stay for a night, the room costs them 30 yen.  When they have gone upstairs, the receptionist realises she has over charged them by 5 yen and gives it to the bell hop to take up to them.  On the way the bellhop thinks to himself that 5 yen will be difficult to split amongst the three men so he pockets 2 yen and gives them each 1 yen.  The room has now cost them 9 yen each.  3x9=27 plus the 2 yen the bellhop kept = 29 yen.  Where did the other yen go??
