Sown

Decided to ditch the day job this afternoon and spend an enjoyable couple of hours pottering in the garden.

The bed we cleared yesterday is now sown with runner beans, beetroot, spinach and some cut and come again salad leaves.

In the tyres in the foreground are courgettes and patty pan squash. If I can get my act together I shall cover them with plastic to get some heat going in there to help them along.

Soil is very dry, we've not really had a lot of rain recently. Might have to water the veg garden in the next few days.... unheard of!

Must remember to get some canes and netting for the beans.

Wish I could ditch the day job for a week or so. Might actually get on top of the garden if I did that.
