Downtown Farmers’ Market

I did a little work on my sitting area under the fig tree. It looks much better with the straggly plants gone and a nice brick edge along the path. Now I have to decide what to do with the little cleared out space. Easiest: just plant something there that will flourish in the shade. Or: make a little solar fountain; lay some more bricks to hold another chair; convert a shiny horse trough to a small raised bed and feel superior to the gophers who will be stymied by the enclosure—seemingly endless possibilities. Or I could just put down a thick layer of mulch, sit in the chair that’s already there, and wait for the figs to ripen.
