Castlerigg Stone Circle

When we cycled the C2C in 1996, the year it opened, the route passed close to the circle. However we were at the end of a long wet day and just wanted to get to Threlkeld and our b&b for the night.
It has taken us a while to get back and visit it properly but now it is done.
The C2C now follows a nice traffic free path out of Keswick, back in the day it was much less cycle friendly.
Somehow managed to walk over 8 miles again today. Maybe tomorrow we will have a shorter day…..
