Hogweed Bonking Beetles

These beetles were living up to their name…although they are also known as Red Soldier Beetles…

Found these on some Hogweed and a few moments later found a veritable orgy on some Ragwort…see extra number one.

I also managed to get a shot of a butterfly today…see extra two, I believe it to be a Meadow Brown.

Actually got out for a walk for the first time in a week….so far, rain, funeral / travelling and a visit to the dentist have put paid to my walking! Hospital tomorrow, so probably no walk then either.
